Spend the day exploring the important role horses have played in Amish life, farming, transportation, and tradition.

Throughout the day, guests can enjoy horse training demonstrations, watch a horse being shod, learn about horseshoe forging and blacksmithing, and meet the team from Serenity Meadows as they showcase therapeutic riding and the unique connection between horses and people.

In addition to horse-focused activities, visitors can experience the Illinois Amish Heritage Center campus through guided tours of historic Amish homes and the Living History Farm, interact with Red Bantam chickens, enjoy a petting zoo, and take a buggy ride around the grounds.
